The season in this year with a training camp in San Diego, California. The good experiences I've already made a few years ago with the optimal training conditions there helped, over the long journey away. And we had not promised too much. Already End of February we welcomed in the southernmost part of California springlike temperatures and bright sunshine. Swimming training in the swimming pool, cycling through the beautiful orchard of the hinterland and walking along the miles of sandy beach were dreams come true. After two weeks of good training, we finally ventured to a first Leistungsueberpruefung and drove through the desert to Arizona, where we in the middle of this, at Lake Havasu wanted to do a triathlon competition. The hard training was first effect and so we could both my friend Tim Long and I won the first victory of the season.

The swimming was cycled in the ocean, on a windy highway and the relay went through the blazing midday sun. Nevertheless, we ventured, and at the start and could also go with a small success back home. Tim won the men's standings and I was second among women.
went after four weeks training camp, then return home in a somewhat rainy Germany. But even here we still gave everything, Tim and I with the training in the university. After another 2 weeks of training camp in Italy has been surprisingly Tim German Vice Champion in the U23 Duathlon Backnang, a great success.
Like last year, we both stood back for a Triathlon Bundesliga team at the start. The best team in five races will be German Team Champion. We both had solid support to present our respective team and took as part of several of these races. During this year I also in the French league at the start and there was gathered by a high-caliber starting grid with world champions and Olympic athletes to gain valuable international experience, regional competitions, however, should not be neglected. With a start-finish one-two at the time last Welzheimer triathlon went well and I Tim successful in history. A wonderful feeling.
The German championships this year were anything but fun. In real fall weather we had the hard line between Schliersee and Spitzingsee do in the Alps. With rain and a maximum of 8 degrees that was too much for me and I had the bike for the harsh weather conditions to pay tribute. Tim had a better day and was also in triathlon German Vice Champion in the U23.
went in August it then with the family to Austria for the International Cycling Week. We spent a week with road bike ride, especially a lot of races here were on the plan.
A big highlight of this season was the Triathlon in Stockholm. A competition in the middle of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe was a great experience. Some top athletes from Germany and of course all Swedish made the competition to a hard fight. After we were both very successful, we were able to enjoy after the race, nor the beautiful city.
