[Department of Education] The story so far

Also at the Institute of Education there is great discontent about the actions of the Bureau. The following is a summary of local events:

Prologue:
The Institute for [...] is taught is traditionally six professorships. In addition to these, the wella professorship and the didactics of technology are located at the Institute, which benefits only a small part is the students enrolled at the Institute.
Two of the six chairs are currently not occupied, and after the summer semester 2010, a third chair no longer be occupied.
In the first two vintages BAPädagogik enrolled about 256 students. In the old master's degree program also have 443 students are enrolled. In addition, some Education Events of the students and the teacher training courses (at LA high school, vocational schools in LA, BE and ME), in which currently enrolled approximately a total of 1,440 students are attending.

The tragedy, part one:
was 3 years ago now, last considered should get which direction the Institute for [...] education. These considerations have not yet undertaken jointly with the Bureau and old seem to have for our new presidium no meaning and it should be considered anew, where the journey is. Of course, should everything will be different. But even better? Even here, it became clear that our new President wants to strengthen teacher education. So far so good ....

The tragedy, part two:
In the summer term 2009 Prof. Munk receives an offer from the University of Essen / Duisburg. In ancient tradition, the reputation of Prof. Munk a recognition and a sign of excellence. Our new president, however, interpreted the call as the desire our institution and our university to leave. He has not thought about it, unfortunately, that Prof. Munk especially excellent in the (vocational school) teacher training. Despite many efforts, such as the audition at the University Assembly, our president could not be persuaded to stay to lead talks with Prof. Munk. So we had him reluctantly let go.

The Tragedy Part Three:
To find out where to go the journey for the Institute for [...] brought to our Council President in four ways (consultants). Contrary to statements made and the approach to other disciplines, the institute had sadly little influence on the choice of the wise men. To know the way, what they had to be respected, they were given by our president, the fabled "issues paper", which provided among other things, the deletion of two professors.
In November 2009, the Institute of [...] Education then by the wise men visited and discussions were held with the remaining three professors, five elected academic staff members and five elected students. These discussions created the five ways a sign (the report) for the Institute for [...] education, which the Institute was served just before Christmas. Our Bureau had of course already received in early December.
The most important milestones on the path of the new institute to focus on the training of teachers, not by an independent study course could not be threatened, so the BAPädagogik should be repealed. He should instead be replaced by a smaller master's program. In addition, should a professor not be re-occupied. It is also recommended in the field of teacher training to expand the didactics on.

The tragedy fourth part?
As this tragedy continues, however, is not known at this time. With the help of the guide of the wise men wanted to take our Bureau with the Department of [...] education talks, but no date is known.
