Recently I found two wonderful picture books I want to introduce you and your heart set. Both books contain illustrations in the classic sense, ie drawings, but loading and enchanting miniature worlds (photographed).
In children's bookstore in Belziger the street I saw "clouds of bread" by Baek Hee Na and Kim Hyang Soo. In the Bookstore fell in Akazienstraße me "Daddy's arms are a boat" by Stein Erik Lunde (text) and Øywind Torseter (Illustration) hands.
"Wolkenbrot" tells the story of an extraordinary morning: When little hangover in the morning open your eyes, it's raining outside with rain. He wakes up his little sister and they both go out into the rain. In the branches of a tree, a small cloud has caught. Both of them bring them home to bake her mother, the resulting clouds of fine rolls. And then something very special. What? I tell of course not.
"Daddy's arms are a boat" is a sad story, a story of a young boy, his dad and a big loss. It is quieter than it has ever been before ... Because a missing. How well that there is Papa. His arms are a boat, which protects the small boys of the dark (source: blurb). The book has touched me very much.
